We’ll wind our way through the spectacular landscapes of western Montana and Wyoming, with stops near the Clark Fork River, historic Dillon, the soaring peaks surrounding Alpine, and the wide-open beauty of Pinedale before rolling together into Rock Springs. Along the way, explore scenic drives, historic sites, charming western towns, mountain lakes, local attractions, and some of the most memorable scenery in the Rockies. This isn’t a race to the rally—it’s a chance to slow down, explore the West, share a few campfires, and arrive in Rock Springs with plenty of stories already worth telling.
Estimated from terrain elevation, averaged over a mile. Tunnels and bridges can read higher or lower than the road itself. Low point 2,134 ft.

That's exactly the kind of attraction I'd expect an Airstream crowd to enjoy—historic, photogenic, walkable, Western and distinctly Montana.

The paved Fremont Lake Road/Skyline Drive corridor provides access to Fremont Lake, Half Moon Lake, CCC Ponds, Elkhart Park and overlooks of the Wind River Range.
The centerpiece would be Fremont Lake. It's a glacial lake sitting beneath the Wind River Range, with boating, kayaking, swimming, hiking and spectacular scenery.
